Break time

I hope everyone has a fabulous week.

Many of the children have been excitedly telling me plans they have for over the break. Some families are going away and many are staying and enjoying a week at home.

I will be spending time in the sand and the sun with my husband, brother, and his wife. One of my favorite things to do is search for treasure on the beach that I can take back and share with the children at school. In December, I found enough fossilized sharks teeth for everyone to have their own piece of ancient history.

If you are staying in the area, and looking for something to do, you may want to travel to Washtenaw Community College and take in Wild Swan Theater's production of Peter Rabbit. This would be a great follow up for children who were part of Val's Beatrix Potter EB.

Peter Rabbit
When Peter Rabbit ventures into Farmer McGregor's garden, despite his mother's warning, his adventures begin.  From the moment Peter loses his little blue coat to Farmer McGregor's scarecrow until he arrives safe and sound at home, this classic tale is brought charmingly to life by Wild Swan's actors and designers.  Part of our Kid's Classic Series for ages 3-7.  Special activities after the Saturday performance provided by Growing Hope.
