Story Telling

This week we were privileged to have some great story tellers in our presence.

On Tuesday, we had a visit from a librarian from the Ann Arbor Public Libraries. She showed us some of the things you can check out besides book, like interesting musical instruments. Then she told us a charming story about a clever frog.

On Wednesday, Rachel introduced us to the author Bill Harley. She read us his book, Dirty Joe the PirateLater this month, Bill Harley will be coming to Summers Knoll.

Thursday, took us to Washtenaw Community College, to watch Wild Swan's production of "Drum Me a Story".  Four actors performed 3 West African tales. The stories includes songs, traditional instruments, and a lot of audience participation.

It is terrific the children can be exposed to such rich and varied way to tell story.
