The "Moon Phases" books the children started last week, were completed on Wednesday. The children quickly learned the names of 5 phases of the moon. The challenging part of this activity was to follow directions, keep track of pages and labels, and to cut the papers. There were some moments of frustration, but in the end most children got a fairly close representation of the moon phases. We finished reading a book of Chinese myths. The children started putting stickers on the world map to indicate countries of origin of the myths we read over the past several weeks. Thursday, all the 1st and 2nd graders went to Wild Swan Theater to see "Drum me a Story" and on Friday afternoon they had a double PE class at the Ice Cube for skating.
