Making Costumes

It has become a tradition at Summers Knoll for children to make their own costumes out of recycled materials for Halloween at school. For some families this sounds like a daunting task but it really doesn't need to be. Just take a cardboard box, a paper bag, a toilet paper roll, or a black garbage bag, mix it with a little imagination, and voilĂ no time you have created a masterpiece.

I have included some costumes from previous years as inspiration.

Garbage bag jacket and black duct tape glasses=
Harry Potter

Paper towel roll and some construction paper=
a humming bird

Paper bag and a paper plate=
a horse

Three paper bags=
armor and a helmet
