Mythology

During March and April, Summers Knoll, is focusing on Mythology.
As with all Themes, each class takes their own journey exploring the theme.

Our class is  touring the world in our search for myths.

We started with myths of the moon.  I am reading Lynn Moroney's Moontellers: Myths of the moon from around the world . In the book, Moroney retells myths from ancient cultures.  We often say there is a man in the moon but other peoples saw of a 4-eyed jaguar, a rabbit and a frog, or a weaver and her cat.

Along with the stories, Moroney  tells a bit about the culture of the peoples whose myths are told.
