Halloween/Eco Fair

Happy Halloween

It was clear that everyone had fun coming up with recycled/reused costumes.  An amazing parade of the creations passed through the school Thursday morning.  Here are photos of our class:

Other halloween activities this week included:
- creating haunted houses

- acting out the story The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything , for Val and Chris's class

-continuing to read The Witches by Roald Dahl

-daily reading of this week's poem "Song of the Witches" by
William Shakespeare

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
