Preparing for Valentine's Day

Wednesday we spent time getting ready for Valentine's day.  

Excitement and creativity filled the room.  







One might ask, what did the children learn while doing these projects?
I could point out that they:
- worked on their fine motor skills,  planning and design skills

-learned how to use paper conservatively by sharing cut paper with each other instead of taking a new piece each time


-to work cooperatively with other children



-use counting skills to determine how many hearts were in the paper chain




All these things are true 

but really the most important thing was to have fun and enjoy life's celebrations.
