Fun with Math

Children need "hands-on" experiences to help them understand the world.  First and Second graders are gaining skills in thinking conceptually and abstractly but they still need concrete examples to help them understand concepts.  Being able to work and play with materials is crucial to their development.

On Friday, the children had the opportunity to explore various math materials and games.   Here are some photos from the morning.
