Kit designing with
push pins

At Summers-Knoll, we think it is important to encourage creativity and have children discover various solutions to a quandary.

To this end, on Friday, the class created  3 dimensional structures using a variety of materials.

Val loaned us her toolbox filled with wire and various types of  pliers.  I brought in styrofoam, push pins, and ribbons. I had intended for there to be two different activities with these materials but the children immediately combined the materials.  The projects displayed creativity and  uniqueness.
